我说了管理学者就是要直面现实,一些人竟然对此表示怀疑!认为这不是管理学界的主流。谁叫我国籍是中国呢?无论我怎么说,相信我的人不多耶!

Guest editors: Dash Wu and Jiuping Xu
International Journal of Technology Management
Special Issue on “Risk Technology Management: Views from Sichuan Earthquake”
Earthquakes are among the most terrifying and destructive natural disasters threatening humans. As the horrors of the Sichuan earthquake in China of May 2008 continue to be a threat to people’s lives, and the number of dead is expected to rise to more than fifty thousand, we have to study the lessons from the earthquake disaster as an opportunity to prepare ourselves better for future disasters.
This special issue is intended to present views and insights from the Sichuan earthquake from the technology management point of view and to develop various risk tools and technologies. Authors are encouraged to submit both theoretical and applied articles addressing the theme of this special issue.
Topics of Interest: Topics include, but are not limited to the following:
&8226; Technology management and risk
&8226; People, business/government relations
&8226; Risk knowledge management
&8226; Risk information technology
&8226; Globalisation risks
&8226; Productivity, efficiency and quality
&8226; Sourcing risk technology
&8226; Strategic technology management and policies of disasters
&8226; Innovation and new risk technology
&8226; International technology management policy and strategy
&8226; Change of investment patterns and opportunities
&8226; Technology development, environment and natural hazards
&8226; Enterprise risk management operations research (OR) technology
&8226; Quantitative technological risk assessment
&8226; Other issues related to risk technology management from the Sichuan earthquake
Paper submission:
Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere
All papers are refereed through a peer review process. A guide for authors, sample copies and other relevant information for submitting papers are available on the Author Guidelines page
Important Dates
Submission of full paper: 31 October, 2008
Feedback from referees: 31 December, 2008
Submission of final revised paper: 31 January, 2009
